  • Must possess relevant offshore certificates as required. Must be able to explain and apply pore pressure, in situ stress and rock mechanical property modeling into regional and field level interpretation.
  • Can generate complex pre-drill pore pressure and geomechanics solutions to be utilized for well planning applications.
  • Can support geomechanically dependent drilling operations and make reasonable recommendations for optimal well construction.
  • Certifiable knowledge in one core G&G application and able to support some sub-products (poststack/pal, TDQ, rave, earthcube, contour assistant, compass, wellplan, SUN, SGI, and IBM workstations).
  • Certified or demonstrates ability in seismic data management and/or geodata management.
  • Some systems support capability for the geoscience and engineering professions, ability to work in client server environment.
  • 7+ years of UNIX / PC knowledge.
  • Must posses competency in 1D Pore Pressure and In situ Stress Modeling using Drillworks (Role Model), 2D Wellbore Stability Modeling using Drillworks (Role Model), Compartment Pressure modeling using Drillworks SafeSeal (Role Model), WITS & WITML Connections with outside vendors (Role Model), 3D Geologic modeling using Drillworks-Presage (Proficient), preparation and presenting project results (Role Model), providing sales support for real-time and pre-drill projects (Role Model). Requires deployment to field sites in helicopters and/or boats.
  • Locations may be remote and physcially/mentally challenging.
  • Fear of flying, water or heights would disqualify a potential applicant. Should be able to teach and mentor Drillworks Expert software package at various locations.

ECOWAS Young Professional Internship Programme – 2014

west African Health Organization and it partners announce its Young Professional Internship Programme for 2014 which will simply commence in January 2014 and hereby invite applications from citizens of member countries of ECOWAS
AIMS:
The main purpose of the programme is to equip young professionals with knowledge skill and experience for effective management of health problems in West Africa Countries.
Structure Of Programme:
. The 12 months programme is actually divided into four stages (I-IV)
. The stages one and four will take place at the headquarters of WAHO in Burkina Faso, at which the interns will acquire knowledge and competence in basic principles of public health, and a second official language of ECOWAS, with new computer information technology, as well as basic principles of management and leadership.
. While during stage three and four the interns would be posted to host institutions in different countries in West Africa to acquire practical skills
The Priority Domain For 2014
applicants for 2014 internship should have interest in one or more of the following priority technical area/domains:
1) Reproductive Health
2) HIV/AIDS
3) Child Survival
4) Nutrition
5) Malaria
6) Health Research
