Hamilton Lloyd and Associates - Our client is a leading distributor of electronics in West Africa with branches all over Nigeria and have over 1000 employees. Due to internal expansion in their Lagos branch, they have decided to hire a HR/ Administrative officer.

Job Title: HR/ Administrative Officer

Role Summary

  • Oversees the full scope of human resources. Directs staff in the areas of: organizational structure, employment, compensation, employee database maintenance, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, orientation/training/development, and policy/procedure development. Oversees development and monitoring of the human resources division budget. Provides management support to the union or activities director as needed.
Job Responsibilities
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Qualifications

Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant course, an advanced degree or professional certification preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
  • Requires at least 3-5 years progressive human resources generalist experience with more than five years at senior management level in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope of human resources activities, both operations and analysis.
  • Must have strong organizational skills in the areas of operations, budget and project administration; effective interface with diverse groups; effective supervisory skills.
