Job Title: HR/ Administrative Officer
Location: Lagos
Role Summary
- Oversees the full scope of human resources. Directs staff in the areas of: organizational structure, employment, compensation, employee database maintenance, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, orientation/training/development, and policy/procedure development. Oversees development and monitoring of the human resources division budget. Provides management support to the union or activities director as needed.
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant course, an advanced degree or professional certification preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 3-5 years progressive human resources generalist experience with more than five years at senior management level in a high-volume environment.
- Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope of human resources activities, both operations and analysis.
- Must have strong organizational skills in the areas of operations, budget and project administration; effective interface with diverse groups; effective supervisory skills.
